We understand the unique challenges widows face, and we are here to offer practical assistance and emotional support. With a vision of a world where widows thrive, we strive to make a lasting impact. Through our wide range of programs and services, we aim to foster financial stability, access to education, and opportunities for personal growth. We work tirelessly to ensure that no widow is left behind, and that their potential is unleashed.
Widow Aid is a charity organization that emerged as a manifestation of Corporate Social Responsibility, driven by the desire to alleviate the challenges faced by indigent widows, widowers, and orphans. Widow Aid is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, with the Registration Number 7117124. Our organization is committed to providing assistance to beneficiaries based on their individual needs, ensuring that we address their specific circumstances. While our name suggests a focus on widows, Widow Aid recognizes the importance of extending support to a broader range of individuals. We aim to assist 60% widows, 30% orphans, and 10% widowers, acknowledging the diverse needs and struggles faced by these vulnerable groups within society.
We recognize that a lot of widows' lives and livelihoods are affected by climate change. Hence we introduce climate related projects, sustainable energy alternatives, carbon emission reduction options, smart agriculture and climate education advocacy.
At Widow Aid, we believe in offering more than just charity and emotional support. We are dedicated to empowering our beneficiaries by providing opportunities for skill acquisition and educational training. By equipping them with valuable skills and knowledge, we aim to enhance their self-sufficiency and long-term prospects for a brighter future. To achieve our objectives, Widow Aid seeks to establish strategic partnerships with functional Corporate Organizations within the country, Government Agencies, and several International Organizations such as UKAID and USAID. By collaborating with these esteemed entities, we leverage their expertise, resources, and networks to maximize our impact and reach more individuals in need.
